- Hope Rootz CBO
Hope Rootz CBO is an NGO officially registered in Kenya in 2023. It is working to carry out agricultural extension, tabletop banking and growing the range of services engaged with the local community.
This process is developing financial resilience, capability and capacity. There are local groups and board that provides training and resources.
The aim is to move from seed capital to the groups controlling their means of seed security within their communities. This extends to health of individuals and the kin in the area (wildlife and indigenous cultures).
Members include men and women.
Hope Rootz has been collaborating more widely with others. This includes:

How can we work collectively to improve people's lives in Kenya along the Lake Region? How can we empower our Hope Rootz members impactfully?
To this end we are collecting uplifting stories about how people lifted themselves out of / or prevented falling into poverty. This is part of our investigations on Community Economics-
