What Is Econet?
Econet is a culture of responsibility for ourselves, our society and our environment.
Econet is a growing worldwide community which helps us all work together as both ecological thinkers and ecological practitioners.
We share a few basic principles.
- We respect agency in all that surrounds us.
- We promote human dignity by meeting the basic needs of humanity.
- We expand on science by exploring our subjective worlds and their effects on our planet.
Econet is an informal supportive group of participants who catalyze a wider culture. Econet is cofounded by Jere Northrop (TimberFish Technologies) and Andrius Kulikauskas (Math 4 Wisdom). Jere owns the website www.e-c-o.net He is a leader of TimberFish Technologies, an ecotechnology company which grows valuable as we think ecologically. Andrius is the leader of Math 4 Wisdom, an investigatory community seeking a language of wisdom. Math 4 Wisdom is the incubator for Econet. Currently, Marcus Petz is the organizer and Andrius Kulikauskas is the webmaster for Econet. We wish for Econet to outgrow these beginnings and to inspire others to take initiative.
We practice Econet culture by following these practical norms
- Our original creative content is in the Public Domain for all to use in their own best judgment.
- We recognize that money can bring people together but you can't pay people to care.
- We wish for all to thrive in life and we include those who wish likewise.
Econet participants are those who share at the Econet wiki
- Their deepest value in life, which includes all of their other values.
- Their relationship with truth.
- Their vision for our world and their role in it.
Econet participants are active to the extent that they share the efforts they are making to realize their vision.
