Christopher Alexander was an architect who investigated, What makes a building alive? He distinguished the modern way of building from blueprints with the timeless way of building from pattern languages. Patterns relate structure and recurring activity.

Jaak Panksepp was a neuroscientist who successfully argued that animals experience emotion just as we do.
