Andrius leads our investigation:
What conceptual structures arise in ecological thinking?
Andrius: I am designing a workflow for me to work with Lucy, Marcus and others on collecting and cataloguing conceptual structures that arise in ecological thinking. I have a larger "spillover" interest in conceptual structures more generally. My purpose is to study them as evidence to clarify a language of conceptual structures by which we experience human life and ground morality. Wondrous Wisdom is what I call this language. I am prototyping a Theory Translator to present examples of the conceptual structures.
At Econet, we are focusing especially on the conceptual structures that arise among ecological thinkers, notably, in the course of our investigation, What is ecological thinking?
Workflow
- Step 0.0: Structure Sources We maintain a list of places to look for conceptual structures.
- Step 0.1: Reading List For example, we could have a list of readings that we recommend on ecological thinking. Lucy, please help!
- Step 1: Structure Dump We collect urls of web pages that mention conceptual structures that are new to us.
- Step 2: Structure Table We write out each conceptual structure as a record in a table.
- Step 3: Structure Catalogue We classify the conceptual structres. Andrius coaches us on how to do this.
