Franz Naharada leads our investigation
How do we coexist with nature?
How do we organize our presence as humans on this planet based on the recognition that we are part of this fantastically organized web of life? What is the optimal form of our interdependence with nature?
What is the role humans play in our ecosystem?
Andrius Kulikauskas: One way to think about the contributions of nature and humans is to consider them as the intuitive, neural Unconscious mind and the reflective, conceptual Conscious mind, thinking in different languages about the same things. Nature speaks of what it knows, and humans speak of what we don't know. Consciousness combines these two minds.
In this regard, we can think of the human role more inclusively, to consider all semiotic creatures as participating in a human way, whether they are dolphins, octopuses, birds, ant colonies and so on.
